BACKGROUND

In 2009 Paul and Analisa Therrien converted their home in Natchez, Mississippi, into a different type of Natchez Bed and Breakfast which is also an affordable luxury Natchez vacation getaway retreat.  Although a Victorian period structure, the house was named  Casa España, The Soul of Spain in Heart of Natchez, in honor of Analisa's Spanish heritage and the period of history when Natchez lived under Spanish rule.  The concept of the house, as well as its design,  décor and Spanish-Mediterranean feel were entirely  her creation.  For Analisa, Casa España is an intensely personal labor of love.  "I have done everything from painting the walls to screwing in the light bulbs --- Let it never be said that I am not multi-faceted," she said.  Throughout the house, Analisa has introduced elements that pay homage to her family and ancestry, and most importantly to the historical imprint Spain left on Natchez and its surrounding areas.

In May, 2005, before coming to Natchez,  the Therriens were thrilled to purchase

this darling structure in the Biloxi historic district.  They  immediately got started on restoring the house and felt encouraged with the progress.
Jump ahead to August, 2005 when the Mississippi Gulf Coast got hit with the most intensely destructive hurricane in recent history.   The Therriens weekend house was irreperably destroyed.

Athough mournful over failed attempts to salvage  the  Biloxi home, the acquisition of the Natchez  property was instrumental in healing a once demoralized spirit.

Simply put, the Therriens feel extremely fortunate to have come to Natchez and snagged away a real beauty !

Hope to see you soon!
